Jesus would often withdraw into a deserted place to commune with God in silence. For Lent, we offer opportunities to join Jesus in contemplative silence. Contemplative space is a time of silence and stillness set aside for meditation and contemplation.

Celebrate the Sacrament of Reconciliation during Lent. Wednesdays 6:30pm - 8:00pm during Lent, Saturdays 4:00pm - 4:45pm, Monday - Friday after morning Masses.

This weekend is Commitment Weekend for the 2020 Annual Appeal. Please be generous in making your pledge. Come to the Lyon Center to observe the Lenten fast by sharing a simple supper of soup and bread. During the meal listen to a presentation on a topic related to the social concerns of our Church. This year's theme is “The Beatitudes” Each evening begins with a free, simple supper of soup and bread at 6:00 p.m. The presentation starts about 6:20 p.m. followed by questions, ending at 7:30 p.m.

At the heart of the Gospel is a creative paradox: we must die to live. Jesus says, “Whoever wishes to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake will find it” (Mt.16:25). Jesus’ own life embodies this paradox.

It seems that today many people are attempting to better themselves. They are obsessed with losing weight, exercising, healthy eating, optimizing time, increasing productivity, getting a better social life, experiencing more cultures, and cultivating a more satisfying sex life.
